He held a sword up against the mechanical man.
"What is this?!" shouted the Boros captain as his two subordinates fell in a bout of
narcolepsy.
Before he could swing his broadsword, a slender figure ran up to him; and so he turned, to his fate.
As Noog peered into his mind, the captain could no longer move, hypnotized by the wizard.
The party made quick work of the guards, tying them up successfully and gagging them, not to make a sound, out of sight.
Schulden chucked the yet undiscovered blunderbuss out the train window as Dale attempted to woo the only passenger in the train cart who might have witnessed.
All he could muster was a faint annoyance from Nadira. They learned no more of her purpose this far north.
The party waltzed off the train successfully, with a bit of a step, as they traversed into the Sixth Precinct.
Turns out Noog lives close by, next to some slums near Medori Park. Though a bit tight especially with a massive warforged in the tiny room, they settle in as Noog checks his mail.
An old friend by the name of Falden Mihrr, a Tabaxi merchant on the other side of town, warns him of suspicious goblin activity; possibly underground.
As the party inquired about Krenko, Falden tells them to seek out Falish, and they shall find him.
The nature of their acquaintance and relation to Falden remains a mystery.
That night, a volatile debate erupted between Noog and Delorix.
"What do you mean he 'seems' legitimate,"
shouted the party's host. "I for one do not enjoy being blackmailed and coerced!"
"Krenko is a criminal and if the Chamber of the Guildpact sent Nassius to catch him, I see no reason to discredit his authority. I have parents among the Azorius, they are - by and large - agents of law," Delorix plead.
"And they have offered to wipe our records clean. I will not have my career jeopardized by mere suspicion!"
"I want Nassius," Noog declared slamming his fist on the dining table where they sprawled their map. And thus the party went about their restless sleep.
Nevertheless, the next day they sought out information on this... Falish.
After some questioning in the area, they learn she is a regular at The Millstone, a favorite of local workers in the precinct.
A few minutes in, Dale decided to go in for questioning with Noog. Delorix and Schulden remained outside.
A bit of nasty flirtation led Dale to the crucial bit on information they needed.
"She has a shop called Falish's workshop," the lady goblin told him.
"Ahhhh.... heh," Dale wimpered, disguised as a goblin. "Well thank you, then. See ya around!"
Noog and Dale make a hasty escape from the awkward encounter and run into Delorix and Schulden staring at some figures in the night.
"What is it?" asked Noog.
In the near distance, the party sees five goblins bouncing their weapons on their hands and shoulders.
It would seem Krenko had a welcome party ready himself - on a count of any unexpected guests to his turf.
Thankfully, they already have met before, haven't they...
